This is the shoe for the evening end of a working day. The upper carries a light shine and a metal buckle sits across the vamp — enough ornament to hold its own at a wedding or a dinner, not so much that it looks out of place in an office beforehand.
The upper is stitched rather than glued, which is the detail that decides how long a shoe like this lasts: a glued vamp seam eventually lifts, a stitched one does not. Inside, a PU lining over an EVA footbed with proper cushioning — worth having on a shoe likely to be worn standing up for several hours. The toe is round and the topline stays below the ankle.
Three colourways: brown, black and navy. Black is the formal one. Brown works through the day. Navy is the least expected of the three and the most interesting under a grey suit.
