Description
This one sits at the dressy end of the range. The upper carries a proper shine rather than a matte finish, the toe is drawn long and slightly narrowed, and a metal clasp crosses the vamp — the shoe is built to be seen under a trouser hem at an evening event rather than worn to walk the dog.
A stitched line runs around the base of the upper in imitation of a welt, which is what gives the profile its structure and keeps the shoe from looking soft the way an unlined loafer does. The sole is rubber: quieter than leather on a hard floor and considerably more use on a wet pavement, which matters for a shoe that will spend its evenings out.
Two colourways, black and brown, and the size run is one of the longest we carry — UK 4 to UK 13, which is unusually generous at both ends. If you fall between two, take the larger.
