Description
The loudest shoe of the four we carry on this sole, and deliberately so. The upper is embossed with a crocodile grain — a raised, irregular scale pattern that catches light across the vamp and gives the shoe a texture the plain versions do not have. A metal horsebit sits on top of it.
Two ornaments on one shoe is usually one too many, but the embossing is tonal rather than contrasting, so it reads as texture rather than pattern from a normal distance. It is the shoe for someone who wants a loafer to be noticed, and it is honest about that. To be clear on the material: this is an embossed synthetic, not crocodile — the pattern is pressed into microfibre.
Three colourways: black, brown and charcoal, which is one more than the plain versions of this shoe. Charcoal is the subtlest of the three and the one that carries the embossing best. There is no set break-in time for this pair. What is declared for this pair: the upper is microfibre with a crocodile-effect emboss, the lining is PU. If a pair does not feel right once you have it on, our 30-day return applies.
Can I wear them without socks?
