Description
Two ideas that usually sit at opposite ends of the shoe rack, put together on purpose. The last is pointed and formal — the shape you would expect under a suit at an evening event. The sole is a platform, which is the opposite instinct entirely. The result is a shoe with a longer line than a plain loafer and more presence than a dress shoe, and it works because the two exaggerations pull against each other.
The upper is a faux suede with a fine matte nap, and a slim metal bar crosses the vamp as the only hardware. Inside, PU lining and footbed. The added height comes from the sole rather than a heel, so the foot stays level and it walks like a flat.
Two colourways: sand and black. Black is the one that goes to the wedding. Sand is the summer version and the more unexpected of the two. Faux suede does not like water — keep it dry, brush the nap when it flattens at the flex points, and do not try to wipe a mark out with a wet cloth. Half sizes are available; the run stops at UK 8.
