Description
The tassel loafer has been a formal shoe for eighty years, and softening it into an everyday slip-on is what makes this one interesting. The clean, supple upper takes the edge off a shape that can look stiff, and it turns a boardroom shoe into something you can wear with a chino on a Saturday without feeling overdressed.
The tassels hang from a lace that runs around the topline, the way they should, rather than being stuck on as an ornament. The toe is round and generous across the joints. Inside, a mesh lining — which moves air rather than trapping it — over an EVA footbed with some spring in it. The sole is light rubber, and the topline stays below the ankle bone.
Six colourways: cream and pale blue are unmistakably summer, navy and black are the two that pass anywhere, and tan and dark brown are the autumn pair.
