Description
Leather inside and out, which is rarer than it sounds at this price. The upper is cow leather and the lining is leather too, so the shoe breathes and moulds to the foot over the first few wears instead of staying the same shape for its whole life. That is the single biggest difference between a shoe you keep and one you replace.
The construction is a true moccasin: the upper wraps under the foot and is stitched around the apron, with the seam left proud and a row of perforations punched through the vamp for air. The sole and footbed are both rubber — grippier and quieter than leather on city pavements, and better suited to a shoe that will spend time behind a wheel. Coverage stops below the ankle.
Five colourways, and they behave differently as the leather ages. Black and blue stay close to how they arrive. Tan and amber will darken and take on a patina where the foot creases, which is the point of buying them. White is a summer shoe and a commitment — it will scuff, and it looks better for it, but do not expect it to stay showroom clean.
