Description
Pig suede is the quiet workhorse of the suede family. The nap is shorter and denser than cow suede, which means it holds its texture longer and does not go shiny at the flex points as quickly. It is also lighter, and on a shoe with no structure and no lining to speak of, that is what you notice first when you pick it up.
There is no ornament here at all — no bit, no strap, no keeper. The upper is stitched around the vamp and left plain, and the topline sits below the ankle bone. Inside, a PU lining and an EVA footbed with real give in it. The sole is white rubber with a slight wrap at the toe, which is what stops this reading as a formal shoe and puts it firmly in weekend territory.
Two colourways: black and sand. Black is the practical one and the one that hides a scuff. Sand is the summer one, and it will mark — pale suede always does, and it looks better once it has.
