Description
The platform is the whole point. A traditional tassel loafer sits low and reads formal; lifting it onto a thick white midsole changes the proportion entirely and pulls the shoe into something you would wear with a wide trouser rather than a tailored one. The contrast between a polished upper and a chunky sole is deliberate, and it is what makes this shape work.
The tassels hang from a lace around the topline in the traditional way. The upper has a solid, even finish, and it is rated water-resistant — an unusual claim in this category and a genuinely useful one on a shoe with a white sole, since the part that gets ruined first is normally the upper, not the base.
Two colourways: black and cognac. Black is the versatile one, and against a white sole it has real graphic punch. Cognac is warmer and works better with denim than with tailoring. The added height comes from the sole, not from a heel, so the foot stays level inside the shoe and it walks like a flat. Half sizes are available across the range, which stops at UK 8½.
