Description
The whole argument for this shoe is that there is nothing on it. No buckle, no bit, no strap, no stitching in a contrast colour. Just a soft upper folded around the foot and a low sole under it. That makes it the one you leave by the door and put on without thinking, which is exactly what a loafer is for.
Underfoot there is more going on than the plain outside suggests. The footbed is EVA rather than a flat board, so it has some give and some rebound, and it makes a real difference over a day of walking. The lining is PU, the sole is rubber, light and flexible. Coverage stops below the ankle bone, so the shoe stays out of the way of a trouser hem.
Three colourways, all of them quiet. Navy is the one that works with almost anything. Stone belongs to warm weather and pale trousers. Amber is the warm one, and it sits best against grey and olive. This is a dry-weather shoe — the upper is synthetic and will wipe clean, but it is not waterproof and standing water will get in. Cut true to size; if your foot is wide, take the next size up.
