Description
Built for warm weather and short distances. The lining is polyester rather than a coated synthetic, which keeps the inside cooler, and the footbed is EVA with enough give to make an afternoon on foot tolerable. The sole is thin rubber, flexible across the ball of the foot — the property that makes a driving loafer worth its name.
The upper is plain, with a round toe and a topline cut low across the instep. No bit, no strap, no keeper. Nothing on the shoe competes with the colour, which is the point of the range.
Three colourways: tan, pale blue and black. Pale blue is the reason to look — a soft, chalky blue that is genuinely unusual on a men's loafer and works with stone, white and navy. Tan is the everyday one, black the formal. Half sizes from UK 6 to UK 8½. Not waterproof: keep them for dry days and let them dry naturally away from heat if caught out.
