Description
Tassels on a white sole, which is the combination that decides what this shoe is for. The upper half is a traditional tassel loafer — tassels hanging from a lace around the topline, a round toe, a clean vamp. The bottom half is a chunky white unit that drops the formality entirely and puts the shoe in the same drawer as a pair of trainers.
The upper is an embossed microfibre. Microfibre is the better class of synthetic: it has a grain rather than a plastic sheen, it does not crease into hard lines the way cheap coated leather does, and it wipes clean. Inside, PU lining and footbed; underneath, rubber.
Two colourways, black and brown. Black against the white sole is the graphic one and the reason most people buy this shape. Brown is warmer and easier with denim. Half sizes are available from UK 5½ to UK 9½. It is not waterproof — wipe the upper, keep the sole out of puddles, and note that a white sole shows everything it walks through.
