Description
Unlined and stitched, which is a better combination than the price suggests. With no lining there is nothing between the foot and the upper, so the shoe is lighter, it breathes, and it collapses into the shape of the foot within a couple of wearings rather than staying rigid. The upper is stitched rather than glued along the vamp, which is what stops that seam lifting after a season.
The upper is a faux suede with a short, even nap, and there is no hardware anywhere on the shoe. The footbed is EVA with real cushioning and the sole is rubber. The topline sits below the ankle bone.
Two colourways, navy and black. Navy is the more interesting and works under grey as well as under denim. The size run is a wide one — UK 5 to UK 13 — so it is worth a look if you struggle at either end. Faux suede does not like water: keep it dry, brush the nap when it flattens, and never sponge a mark.
