Description
The plainest of the four shoes we carry on this sole, and the one that will get worn most. A saddle strap across the vamp with the traditional slot cut through it, a round toe, and nothing else — no tassels, no metal, no texture beyond the grain of the upper.
That restraint is what makes it work on a chunky white base. Where a tassel or a bit fights the casual sole, a plain penny strap simply sits on top of it, and the shoe reads as one idea rather than two stuck together. The upper is embossed microfibre, lined and footbedded in PU, with a rubber sole underneath.
Two colourways, black and brown. If you are buying one shoe from this family, this is the one — it goes with more, it dates less, and the strap will still look right in five years when the tassel version does not. There is no set break-in time for this pair. What is declared for this pair: the upper is microfibre, embossed finish, the lining is PU. If a pair does not feel right once you have it on, our 30-day return applies.
Can I wear them without socks?
