Description
Flannel gives this one its whole character. The upper has the dry, soft hand of a suit cloth rather than the sheen of a coated synthetic, and it is cut low across the instep so the shoe almost disappears on the foot. It is the least assertive shoe in the range and deliberately so.
The footbed is latex, which is unusual and welcome: it has more rebound than EVA and more give than PU, and on a flat with no heel that is where the comfort has to come from. The lining is PVC and the outsole rubber.
Two colourways, black and dark brown. Both are quiet, which suits the material. This pair is listed for home use first and shopping and walking second, and that is a fair description — flannel is a fabric, so this is an indoor-and-dry-pavement shoe, not a wet-weather one.
