Description
The wedge is what makes this a walking shoe rather than a smart one. Three centimetres of raised sole, tapering from the heel forward, so the foot is lifted without any of the pitch a real heel imposes — you get the height and none of the strain. It is why this shape has stayed on women's shoe racks for thirty years.
The upper is genuine cow leather with a slightly glossy finish and a textured panel across the vamp, held by a polished metal bar. The construction is a true moccasin: an apron seam runs around the forefoot with moc-toe stitching and visible side seams. Inside, PU lining and footbed; underneath, rubber with shallow grooves for grip. The forefoot is cut noticeably roomy, which is unusual and welcome.
