Description
The same shoe as our solid platform loafer, with the upper cut through. An openwork pattern is punched across the vamp and quarters — not a few brogue holes, but a proper fretwork that shows the foot underneath and makes this a genuinely warm-weather shoe rather than a year-round one.
Everything else is unchanged: genuine cow leather, stitched construction, a 2.5 cm platform under the full length of the sole so the foot stays level, PU lining and footbed, rubber outsole. The perforation is the whole difference, and it is a real one — this version breathes and the solid one does not.
Three colourways, all pale: cream, grey and white. That is deliberate rather than a gap in the range; openwork reads as a pattern in a light colour and disappears in a dark one. Two things follow from the perforations. It is not waterproof, unlike the solid version — water goes straight through the holes.
