Description
Four and a half centimetres, and all of it in the sole. That is the tallest platform in the range and it is a flat platform, not a wedge — raised evenly from toe to heel, so the foot stays level and the walk is unchanged. You gain the height of a heel with none of the pitch, which is the entire argument for this construction.
The upper is a soft split leather and the shoe is unlined, so it moulds to the foot quickly rather than staying rigid around a tall sole. The footbed is EVA. The upper is rated water-resistant.
Two colourways, black and cream. Cream against a pale sole is the summer version and reads as one continuous block; black is the year-round one. The size chart advises going up for a wide or full foot. One practical note that comes with any tall platform: the sole is stiff, so it flexes less than a thin one, and a staircase takes a little more attention for the first few wears.
