Description
A wedge that does not look like one. The platform runs the full length of the sole rather than lifting only the heel, so the foot stays close to level and the shoe walks like a flat while standing noticeably taller. It is the most comfortable way to add height to a shoe, and the reason this shape sells season after season.
The upper is cow suede with fretwork cut across the vamp — small openings punched in a pattern, which lets air through and breaks up what would otherwise be a large plain surface. The footbed is pig split leather, which absorbs moisture better than a synthetic. The outsole is rubber, the upper is rated water-resistant, which is unusual for a suede and worth knowing.
Five colourways: dark brown, cream, black, navy and pale blue. Pale blue is the unexpected one and the most summer of the five. Cream will mark, as pale suede always does.
