Description
The most useful shoe in the range, and the least interesting to describe. Closed at the toe, open at the heel, flat underfoot, nothing to fasten and nothing to adjust. You put it on without bending down and you take it off the same way, which is the entire proposition and the reason this shape has quietly taken over the last few summers.
The upper is PU with a line of stitched detailing across the vamp — enough to break up the surface, not enough to make it a design. The sole is TPR: lighter than rubber, more flexible, and it takes the hard edge off a stone floor. There is no heel lift at all, so the foot stays level.
Nine colourways, which is the real reason to look. Green, blush, sand, navy, cognac, grey, blue, dark brown and black — a range this wide on a shoe this plain means you can pick one that does something rather than settling for black. Sizing runs from UK 5½ to UK 10½. If you fall between two, take the larger — and remember that a backless shoe is better slightly snug than slightly loose.
