Description
More going on here than on most mules. The vamp is worked as a patchwork rather than cut from one piece, with tassels hanging from the topline and a metal trim alongside them — three decorative ideas on a shoe that shows very little of itself, which is why it does not look busy in practice.
The lining is flannel, which is an unusual and rather good choice on a backless shoe: soft cloth against a bare instep is more comfortable than a synthetic, and it grips slightly, which helps a mule stay on. The footbed is PU and the sole is rubber with a stated non-slip tread and a low 1 to 3 cm heel — enough to lift the foot without changing how you walk.
Four colourways: cream, navy, black and tan. Cream is the summer one and will mark. Navy is the most useful of the four. On the material, the material listing was ambiguous, so we state both without picking. If your foot is broader than standard, a size up is advised. Care
Remove surface dust with a soft suede brush, working in one direction to lift the nap. Keep them away from water and treat them with a suede protector spray before first wear. Do not wipe suede with a wet cloth. If they get wet, let them dry naturally, away from direct heat, then brush the nap again.
