Description
A chain instead of a bit or a strap. It runs across the vamp and moves slightly as the foot flexes, which is what distinguishes it from a fixed metal bar — the shoe has a bit of life in it rather than one static ornament.
The upper is a smooth artificial leather, lined in polyurethane over a fabric footbed, on a TPR outsole. TPR is lighter than rubber and more flexible, which suits a flat meant for all-day wear. The last is cut wide, which is rare enough to be worth choosing this shoe for if standard flats pinch across the joints.
Three colourways: black, cream and blush. Blush is the soft pink one and the reason to look; black is the one that will get worn most. At forty pounds it is among the cheapest shoes here, and the chain does more for it than the price suggests. Not waterproof — wipe with a damp cloth and keep out of standing water.
