Description
A real espadrille construction under a suede upper. The midsole is jute rope, wrapped and stitched the traditional way, and the footbed is hemp — cool against a bare foot and quick to shed moisture, which is exactly what a summer shoe worn without socks needs.
Where this differs from a true espadrille is underneath: the outsole is rubber rather than rope. That single substitution is what makes it wearable outdoors in Britain, because a rope sole disintegrates on a wet pavement while keeping none of its charm. You get the look and a base that survives.
Five colourways: brown, sand, olive, navy and dark chocolate. Olive is the one worth having, and navy is the easiest to wear. Sand is the summer choice and, being pale suede, the one that will mark.
